It is too late to say "Happy Diwali". Just learned from my Indian colleague that Oct.27th and Oct.28th are their Diwali festival. The festival marks the victory of good over evil, and uplifting of spiritual darkness. It celebrates the return of Lord Ram, who is taken as God in India.
It is really an interesting holiday. My colleague told me they fire crackers and fireworks on the street on that day. And at night they cut off the power at home and light the lamps around their house. Just imagine how beautiful it is!
